Will my treatment be covered by my insurance?

Varicose veins are a true disease process and
are not cosmetic.

• Treatment of symptomatic varicose veins is covered by almost all insurance companies. So is your initial consultation and vascular lab study.
• After a treatment plan is created for your vein problem, we will assist you in pre authorization of your treatment.

Most spider vein treatment is considered cosmetic.

• Spider vein treatment is therefore not covered by insurance. Occasional exceptions are noted with symptomatic spiders with large feeders that require foam sclerotherapy.
• Prior to any treatment for spider veins we will assess the possibility of insurance coverage. In addition, Dr. McComas will generate as accurately as possible the costs for the level of intervention you desire.
